Washington
“It is unlawful
for any person or persons to possess any wildlife as defined in
this section,whether indigenous to Washington or not, until she
or he has obtained a permit as provided by this section from the
department of fish and wildlife.”
Dangerous wild animals
are defined in this bill as including the Family Felidae but ONLY
lions, tigers, captive-bred cougars, jaguars, cheetahs and leopards.
This is different from the original bill that had all non-domestic
cats and included servals in its DWA classification.
Additionally the words
“excluding wolf-hybrids” has been added.
This bill has passed
in house, is in the senate which has adjourned as of 3/9/04.
