The Illinois Dangerous Animals Act makes it illegal for individuals to own the following animals:
lion, tiger, leopard, ocelot, jaguar, cheetah, margay, mountain lion, lynx, bobcat, jaguarondi, bear, hyena, wolf or coyote, or any poisonous or life-threatening reptile.
