California
California
is very restricted regarding the types of animals which can be
legally imported into the State without permit. However, regarding
felines, California models its law after federal law and all felines
which are the cross between a domestic feline (felis catus) and
a non-domestic feline do not require a permit. California Code
of Regulations, Title 14, Section 671 (K)(1)(b). California defines
a "wild animal" as one that is not normally domesticated
in California as determined by the Fish and Game Commission. California
Fish and Game Code Section. 2116.
